Job Description, Education, Duties, and Responsibilities of Engineering Technologist

UNIT GROUP 2339: Other Engineering Professionals

Other Engineering Professionals are responsible for Evaluating and adapting new and updated engineering methods used in the engineering testing phase and execution. UNIT GROUP 2339: OTHER ENGINEERING PROFESSIONALS includes Engineering Professionals who are not else categorized. It comprises Aeronautical Engineers, Biomedical Engineers, Agricultural Engineers, Environmental Engineers, Engineering Technologists, and Naval Architects (Aus) or Marine Designers (NZ).

 

Indicative Skill and Expertise Level

The majority of occupations in UNIT GROUP 2339 require a level of expertise equivalent to a bachelor's degree or better. For the formal qualification, at least 5 years of relevant work experience or appropriate vendor certifications might well be substituted. In certain cases, in terms of formal qualification, professional experience and/or on-the-job training may be necessary (ANZSCO Skill Level 1). Some Other Engineering Professionals’ skills and Expertise include:

  1. ELTS requires a minimum of 6 (L, R, W), 7 in speaking, and 7 overall Scores. 
  2. OET score with at least a B in all sections. 
  3. TOEFL iBT with a score of at least (L:12 R:13 W:21 S:23 total L93); 
  4. PTE Academic requires a minimum score of 50 (L, R, W), 65 in speaking, & 65 in total.
